Hradec Králové's small hall: the second ice surface beside the ČPP Aréna, built in 1980 and roofed in 2001
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The ČPP Aréna in Hradec Králové grew from an uncovered rink that appeared in 1957 beside the park where the Elbe and the Orlice meet, very close to the town centre. Ten years later the stadium was roofed. In 1980, for the European junior championship, a second ice surface was built under the White Tower.
That second ice surface stood uncovered for a long time. It was roofed together with the 2002 World Junior Championship, in which the town took part as a co-host, and the work began in March 2001 and ran for seven months. Today the small hall holds 500 spectators, all of them standing.
The main hall had its own big rebuild from the summer of 2007, with a completely new shell, a new cooling system, boards, safety glass, stands, lighting and sponsors' skyboxes. Public skating in the small hall began in early October 2026.
