Sunday mass skating on the 2,237 square metre ice arena of the Fakel sports school
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
Lesnoy Arena is the sports school with artificial ice, a unit of the Fakel school of the Olympic reserve, in Lesnoy, Sverdlovsk Oblast. Its ice arena covers 2,237 square metres and sits in a building with a universal sports hall and a gym, at Dorozhny Proezd 23.
Mass skating follows a weekly timetable that also holds the school's hockey and figure skating training and the ice floods. In the week of 19 to 25 October the public sessions were on Sunday evening, in two blocks with a half-hour flood between them, and the rink announced that there would be no mass skating on Saturday. Everyone skates counter-clockwise, sticks and pucks stay off the ice, and when the music stops everyone leaves the ice to be flooded.
Children under 3 are not admitted to mass skating, children under 8 skate with an adult, and an instructor is always in the ice area. Tickets are sold at the cash desk, and the school is open every day.
