A covered 30 by 60 metre ice surface in a leisure centre
The Eisbahn in the Freizeitzentrum Gleis3Eck is a covered ice surface of 1,800 square metres, 30 by 60 metres, so skating goes ahead in any weather, and the rink calls the atmosphere on the ice unique. It is open from December to March, and the rink says the ice serves every kind of club sport and unorganised leisure skating alike.
A rustic Glühweinschänke serves food and hot drinks beside the ice, and a heated party rink is rented out for children's birthdays. Trainers of the Ice Rebells Waltershausen run a skating school for anyone who wants to learn or improve. In summer the same area hosts concerts, stage shows and other events, and the leisure centre around it offers recreation, catering and sport all year.
